Sauver Pour Servir was founded by Sister Celanise Laguerre, wife of pastor Altes Laguerre who serves the Church of God of Prophecy of the Last Days based in Orlando, Florida. Sister Celanise believes the Lord put it in her heart to go on a missionary trip to Haiti each year. This conviction led to an annual mission in which members from the congregation and the community flew to Haiti to go and minister to God’s people, providing meals, supplies and medical services to impoverished communities.

With each trip, the cry of the Haitian people grew louder — and Sister Celanise realized there was a significant need for an organization dedicated to this purpose.

In 2018, the mission became incorporated to create Sauver Pour Servir. The objective remains close to its local roots, dedicated to serving the poor and needy in Haiti while bringing lost souls to Christ — its purpose guided by one glorious truth: We are saved to serve!
